Goodhew Roofing’s Story starts back around 1958 when 3 brothers, John, Joe, & Wayne, decided they needed to work and for whatever reason they decided to try their hand at roofing(standing seam.)
It started off just as 3 brothers roofing together out of a truck. But, a few years into it they realized they really were onto something. So they decided to make a real business out of it, buying vehicles, & a storefront, hiring crews and creating the Goodhew Roofing brand.
As time went on, the three brothers did not. John bought out his two brothers shares of the company. They went on to pursue other ventures. But, Goodhew’s Roofing Service, remained a family owned company. John, had two sons of his own, John R. and Joe. And they both were climbing ladders and helping roof from a very young age.
John R. continued perfecting the art of Metal Roofing and eventually began running the company for John C.
With John R. in charge Goodhew’s Roofing Service reached it’s next phase, Goodhew Metal Sales. John R. realized there was more to the metal roofing world than just installing and created a new division of the company specifically to sell metal roofing products to other Contractors and DIY’ers.
Shortly after the Goodhew Metal Sales division was created, John R. purchased his first(of many) standing seam rollformers, one of the very first in the country.

After 60+ years Goodhew Roofing Service/Goodhew Metal Sales has continued as a family business. To this day John C. still is regularly involved in day to day work. John R. still is managing the company and constantly innovating standing seam roofing.
John R.’s son Taylor is even a part of the company. Taylor has an 8 year old that even “works” in the office regularly
